ABOUT
US
Until the middle of the last century, grape growing in the Cinque Terre was a true tradition, a bond that had lasted for over two thousand years . Throughout this time, the wine produced in these lands represented not only an economic resource, but also the soul of a community. Already in Roman times, the wine of the Cinque Terre was appreciated and celebrated, as the words of Pliny the Elder, who praised its qualities, tell us.

Due to the land division, we combined approximately seven hectares into a single holding, signing fortnightly contracts with the owners of now-uncultivated vineyards. Another major transformation was the introduction of the espalier system , replacing the traditional pergola, with the rows always oriented along the contour lines. This change led to much more optimized management of the work and contributed to improving the quality of the grapes.

Over the past seventy years, however, viticulture has experienced a period of decline, with a progressive abandonment of vineyards and a reduction in cultivated areas. But our story is different. Our company was founded as the heir to afamily traditionthat has never stopped believing in this unique territory. With passion and determination, we have chosen to reverse the trend: instead of surrendering to abandonment, we have invested in therecovery of neglected land and vineyards, introducing modern and sustainable practices.
Our commitment is not only to the introduction ofenvironmentally friendly mechanization, which has improved the efficiency of agricultural operations, but also to the enhancement of a complex landscape, where orographic difficulties and the fragmentation of properties are daily challenges. To address these challenges, we have adopted an innovative solution: we have transformed the traditional terraces into a system ofgrassed embankments, creating flat surfaces that follow the contour lines, connected by ramps that allow us to partially mechanize the work.

Today, three historic grape varieties grow in our vineyards: Vermentino , Bosco , and Albarola , which are the protagonists of our fine DOC Cinque Terre and Cinque Terre Sciacchetrà wines, one of the first wines to receive DOC recognition in Italy back in 1973. With every bottle, we tell a story rooted in centuries of tradition, but which looks to the future with a heart full of passion and respect for this extraordinary land.
